USER EXPERIENCE INTERNSHIP

Job Overview & Responsibilities

The UX intern at AGL & Associates is responsible for optimizing the user experience for customers using AGL Institute. As an intern in the user experience space, you will be tasked with thinking strategically and creatively about how the platform can be improved. Collecting and analyzing user behavior and feedback is also an integral part of this internship and requires analytical skills when examining qualitative and quantitative research. In this role, the UX intern will identify research needs, create a research plan, and execute the plan using appropriate methodology. 

Responsibilities and key tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis

  • Interpret data and qualitative feedback

  • Create user stories, personas, and storyboards

  • Determine information architecture and create sitemaps

  • Create prototypes and wireframes

  • Conduct usability testing

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Student within the MAPP program

  • Prior UX experience preferred (through course projects, internships, or prior work experience) 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Ability to think critically and strategically

  • Quantitative and qualitative research experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfort working remotely

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP

Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Learning and Development intern at AGL & Associates is responsible for assisting with the ongoing content and development of AGL Institute. You will be tasked with creating and designing new content for AGL Institute programs, while also identifying key success factors for implementation. Additionally, the intern is responsible for conducting needs assessments to determine training needs. 

Responsibilities and key tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials

  • Review training materials from a variety of sources and choose appropriate materials

  • Assist in the evaluation of training programs

  • Perform administrative tasks as directed by AGL Institute management

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree

  • Ability to research, collect and analyze data

  • Prior experience in learning and development preferred, including instructional design and eLearning development

  • Versed in Adult Learning Theory and its applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to think creatively 

  • Ability to identify challenges and resolve them

  • Comfort working remotely

CREATIVE DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Job Overview & Responsibilities

As the creative designer at AGL & Associates, you will be tasked with generating ideas and creating designs for the firm. The creative designer must possess strong design capabilities including but not limited to the web, mail, and brand development. You will be responsible for creating designs for our social media campaigns that help to enhance the brand and exemplify our values of innovation and autonomy. Additionally, you will be working to create design standards for AGL Institute, an online curriculum focused on enabling the virtual workforce. 

Responsibilities and key tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand

  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

  • Test graphics across various media

  • Amend designs after feedback

  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree

  • Prior experience in graphic design required

  • Ability to conceptualize visuals based on requirements

  • Development of illustrations, logos, and other design using software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment

  • Sharp eye for aesthetics and details

  • Demonstrated experience with Infographic creation, image/video creation and editing, branding templates, and social media graphics 

  • Demonstrated experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Experience testing creative designs across various platforms

  • Ability to provide design portfolio upon request
